William Robert presents “Times Square”
Sound Artist William Robert returns to Asbury Park to present a three dimensional sound environment at Parlor Gallery (formerly Crybaby, 717 Cookman Ave.) on Friday, July 10th, from 7:30pm – 11:00pm. A suggested donation of $5.00 is appreciated. His “Times Square” is a fascinating piece built from field recordings made during the fall of 2001. Read the story »
Oh Say Can You Screen at Asbury Lanes
On Saturday, July 4, Asbury Lanes presents the opening reception of our new group art show “Oh Say Can You Screen.”
While you might be celebrating the birthday of our nation, we will be celebrating the art of the screen print! Come celebrate both with us at Asbury Lanes. “Oh Say Can You Screen” curated by Parlor gallery’s own, Sarah Potter will feature artists from all over the world, not to mention local artists, too. Start saving your pennies now because all work will be for sale!!
And after you see the fireworks and peruse the art, stay for the hot new dance party, featuring the Lanes’ own, Sweet Sweedersen, and DJ Jack the Ripper, plus a secret special guest selector.
It’s $5 to get in and doors are at 8 PM!

Asbury Park Rain Garden Fundraiser at Watermark
Mark your calenders… We are having a fundraiser for a rain garden to be created at Springwood and Main Street! This rain garden has the potential to recycle half a million gallons of polluted storm water runoff from entering Wesley Lake annually (not to mention it is going to look beautiful!). We are hoping to begin the groundwork for the rain garden in July.
