The West Side Community Center has been a valuable resource to Asbury Park’s West side residents for over 65 years. We’re located at 115 DeWitt Avenue, and we provide a safe haven for Asbury Park’s young people to play and learn. We’ve hosted a wide range of programs to support infants, adults, and everyone in between. We’re very proud to have been chosen this year by the New Jersey Department of State’s Office of Faith-Based Initiatives to pilot a program to prevent truancy in our community. If successful, our efforts may lead to the funding of other impoverished communities around the state. We’re currently looking for volunteers to handle a wide range of administrative tasks, from community outreach to programming.
